From the Churchfield Primary School
At Churchfield School, we are dedicated to giving back to the community and acknowledge the multi-cultural, multi-religious, and dynamic nature of the UK.
Our curriculum helps kids get ready for daily living in British society by helping them learn how to understand and manage money, how to read and write well, and how to work together and have productive discussions about various topics of interest.
Themes in the curriculum cover national and international comparisons as well as historical and geographical studies in the context of the UK.
Additionally, our kids are given a democratic "vote" in the curriculum choices they make, particularly in math.
Children are asked to think on essential concepts like care, respect, tolerance, honesty, and thankfulness that are related to our assembly themes, which uphold and promote our core values and British values.
As kids learn more about many religions, RE encourages tolerance of those who hold different faiths and beliefs.
The RE curriculum includes a visit to the neighbourhood church.
By electing members to our School Parliament, Churchfield encourages democratic procedures.
