Greetings from Class 1!
Every day of the school week, Mr. Marshall, who is our teacher, instructs us.
Where the fun happens is in Class 1!
Mr. Marshall works with us during our free time to improve our fundamental math, reading, and writing skills with the aid of a large cast of expressive puppets.
By the time we enter Year 1, we are eager to engage in more formal learning and are eager to work through the National Curriculum.
To ensure that learning is still enjoyable and interesting, Mr. Marshall and his puppets provide us the opportunity to work practically, actively, and cooperatively.
After that, we study other ways to pronounce graphemes in phonics, which improves our ability to read fluently and spell correctly. We also have plenty of opportunities to apply our arithmetic knowledge to issues and real-world situations.
In addition to all of this, we work on the broader curriculum through our topic, which is always motivated by our personal interests as identified by the professors during the previous term.
We have a lot of responsibilities as the eldest students in Class 1 to look after our environment and guide the younger students in their academic pursuits.
In Class 1, we understand how crucial it is for our parents, guardians, grandparents, and carers to be as involved in our education as possible so that Mr. Marshall can develop a complete, accurate picture of where we are at.
Through our "Marvellous Me" programme, Mr. Marshall keeps in touch with adults on a frequent basis, and all of our "wow moments at school" are recorded in our online learning journal, "Tapestry," so that our parents may see what we accomplished during the school day.
