From the Carrant Brook Junior School
In September 1980, Carrant Brook School was inaugurated. It was created to meet the educational needs of junior-aged children and has space for 240 students in two forms, with 60 new students being admitted each year. We currently have 7 classes, with a NOR of roughly 165. There are excellent teaching and learning facilities in the school, including a library and resource centre, computers in every class and a computer suite, extensive playing fields, a large gymnasium and assembly hall, and seven well equipped classrooms. We have very close liaison and links with Northway Infant School from which the majority of our children transfer and with Tewkesbury Secondary School, which most children attend from the age of 11. The three schools collaborate on a variety of academic and pastoral projects. a location with a welcoming, joyful, peaceful, safe atmosphere where everyone enjoys cooperating and learning. a place where everyone is held to consistently high standards and expectations and where success is measured in more ways than just academic achievement. A place where children become responsible citizens, effective contributors, successful learners and confident individuals.
