I'd like to extend a warm welcome to you to our school community. For many years, Butleigh School has enjoyed an exceptional reputation. The welfare of your children and their progress are of the utmost importance to us and we want to ensure that all children have the opportunities to attain the highest possible standards in their work and in their personal development. To achieve this, we continually monitor the provision in the school to develop a varied, relevant and interesting curriculum so that your children, whatever their strengths or needs, have every chance to succeed. We also encourage parents to become actively involved in their children's education whether it's through supporting them at home, meeting the teachers or even helping out in school. I strongly advise you to become a member of the Friends of Butleigh School PTA, which is a vibrant and incredibly supportive organisation. In order to keep you informed, I send out regular newsletters, offer you the opportunity to discuss your child's progress both informally and at parents' evenings as well as to feedback your feelings about the school through discussion with me, which I welcome. My experience has shown me that a sincere cooperation between the home and the school is essential for a child's success. Feel free to visit and speak with us since we are a friendly school.
