David Cameron emphasised the significance of British values in education in June 2014. Furthermore, one component of Ofsted's inspection process is how successfully a school promotes these principles. In many of the things we undertake, including school assemblies, religious education classes, and Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL) sessions, we actively promote British values. The ideals are a key component of our long-standing aesthetic ethos statement, which has always complemented British values. As well as actively promoting British values, the opposite also applies: we would actively challenge pupils, staff or parents expressing opinions contrary to fundamental British values, including 'extremist' views.
