From the Brymore Academy
The fundamental tenets of family living form the foundation of boarding at Brymore.
We work to provide a welcoming, welcoming, and purposeful environment where students are inspired to reach their academic and personal potential, where individual needs are attended to, and where accomplishments in all areas of the school are honoured.
I can speak with confidence and clarity about the great impact Brymore is able to bring to each and every student because I was a former student there.
It is true that Brymore is unlike any other school I have ever attended as a student or have ever worked in as a teacher during my career.
In the past, boarding has had a significant impact on Brymore School.
Boarding at Brymore has a unique ambiance and character that embraces the attributes of the people who pass through our houses, according to those of us who have lived and worked in the boarding environment, whether currently or in the past.
At Brymore, Mr. Watts oversees the boarding programme.
He was given a rugby scholarship at Colston School in Bristol after leaving Brymore as a student, and he played for Bath's young team and Cheltenham for many years after that.
Mr. Watts earned his PGCE from the University of Southampton after graduating with a first-class honours degree in sports and exercise science from UWIC.
Mr Watts worked as Head of Boys Boarding at Pickering College in Toronto for some time before coming back to the UK to work as a Community Sports Coach for SASP, in addition he was a PE Teacher and School Sports Co-ordinator at Broadlands School before being appointed at Brymore.
Mr. Watts is of the opinion that everyone at Brymore has the chance to succeed, regardless of practical or academic aptitude, whether it be in the gardens, on the farm, via sport, or in any other endeavour.
