We put a lot of money into things that our students excel at and love.
Our school is active and pleasant, with lots going on.
This website seeks to introduce you to the institution while also regularly updating information for both parents and students.
Our equivalent of a PTA is FOBS (Friends of Broughton School), a very active group that raises several thousand pounds annually to support improving our learning environment.
The school is located in a fairly rural area with fields on three sides but is also the centre of village life with strong ties to the locals and the church (though we are not a church school).
We have a very straightforward behaviour code that consists of only four golden rules. This code is tied to our Friday "Golden Time" activities, during which kids can choose what they want to do for a portion of Friday afternoon.
Students from year R up to year 6 can participate in a variety of activities, including computing, paper aeroplane design, ten-pin bowling, craft projects, outdoor sports, building, and more.
Through Education Uganda, we have connections to Kajwenge School in Uganda.
Every year, we have a fundraiser to raise money for supplies like chalk and writing instruments.
Each year, the school council selects two additional charities to sponsor, and we plan fundraisers during the summer.
We run a variety of groups, some of which are after school and others of which are at lunchtime.
Our clubs are all free to join.
