Vision Statement for the Jubilee Federation "Set the world on fire by being who God created you to be" (St Catherine of Siena) We examined our Vision as a federation during the 2018 fall semester.
We made the decision to have a unique event across the federation to introduce the new vision statement to kids and parents.
We feel that our new vision statement, "Be who God created you to be and you will set the world on fire," should be in our hearts and minds each and every day at school. It was unveiled by the students and staff of Broadhembury to kick off the new year.
This encourages following your aspirations and utilising the power and strength of God to help others.
We felt it was crucial that the kids comprehended St. Catherine's words, "Be who God meant you to be, and you will set the world on fire," as well as the life she lived in accordance with them.
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. The children learned about her lifestyle and how she used her gifts to help those in need and serve others. They also made connections between many of her lifestyle choices and biblical verses.
The children discussed this and decided to plant their own sunflower seed to watch it bloom in the Summer as a proof of their confidence in God. St. Catherine compared her faith in God to a sunflower "as its glance is ever fixed above and pointed towards the beautiful sun of heavenly truth."
The kids had fun sowing the seeds and are eager to watch them develop.
The kids presented their brand-new song to the parents at the conclusion of the day and told them all about St. Catherine.
They also got to savour a mouthwatering "flame cupcake" created by the kids to serve as a reminder to "put the world on fire" with our talents!
.
Our Principles The cornerstones of our behaviour are our values.
The Broadhembury Bridge Aims, which direct our behaviour at Broadhembury CE Primary School and at home, are thus derived from our Christian Values.
Our beliefs play a significant role in what makes our school a joyful and secure environment for learning.
In Collective Worship, we study one value in greater detail each half term, but we uphold all the values constantly and use them in many ways in our school, in our learning, and in our daily lives.
Class 2 students have been considering their mental health.
The kids talk to their teacher about achieving their "10 a day," which inspires us to make thoughtful decisions every day for our mental health.
With the goal of focusing on the things they don't do every day and how they may incorporate these more for a healthy mind, class 2 decides which of their "10 a day" they have accomplished each day and records this in their mental health notebook.
