Where passion for learning is ignited
Our aim is to “hand on the torch of life” by providing a well-rounded education that allows all students to achieve their full potential and go out into the world as successful citizens.

At Bridlington School we are a family where teamwork is at the core of all we do.
We pride ourselves on celebrating student success and achievements during their 7 years with us from Year 7 to Year 13. Students leave us at the end of the sixth form (at age 18) and go onto excellent universities, higher level apprenticeships, and employment.
Our vision is to ensure that our students can cope and contribute positively to an ever-changing world. We encourage students to forge strong cultural connections that will stay with them beyond their school years.
Our mission is to ignite a passion for, and a commitment to learning. We strive to help all our students to be the absolute best version of themselves.
We offer a broad curriculum of academic and vocational courses that embrace the use of the latest technology in lessons to help bring learning to life. We invest heavily in our extra-curricular activities to motivate students to become active members of the community, preparing them for the future.

Our History
The school was formed from Bridlington School (a grammar school founded on the site 20 September 1899, although founded in 1447 by King Henry VI) on Bessingby Road. The school had around 550 boys in the 1950s and 1960s with a boarding school.
