Our core beliefs at Bovey Tracey Primary School include High aspirations and compassion Superiority and enjoyment Equality Resilience Self-belief encourages our kids to take on challenges and prepares them for life in the real world. We give our kids the tools they need to think critically, creatively, and adaptably. They are, after all, the citizens and decision-makers of the future. We foster a culture of high expectations across our curriculum and in children's everyday lives by inspiring, caring, and pushing them. Along with teaching the skills of cooperation and reflection, we also help people believe in themselves, be motivated, and be resilient. Our method of instruction caters to the individual needs of each student while also personalising and tailoring learning. We may target specific learning requirements, support and challenge kids in targeted teaching groups. Every child deserves a top-notch education that is personalised to meet their specific needs. We have ensured that our creative curriculum continues to enable children to become immersed in learning across all areas, from science, ICT and technology to drama, art and history. Our Early Years classroom has a great outside space where our students may create, explore, and learn while fostering their imagination and sense of wonder. We value the child as a whole. Parents and extended family have the opportunity to share in the achievements of their child as they join us for our 'Celebration Assembly.' Our 'Thrive Hive' helps develop children's emotional needs more clearly. We see ourselves as an integral part of the town and value the links we have with the community, including our 'Lunch Bunch' volunteers who help to serve monthly lunches to senior members of the community.
