From the Bonners CofE School
At the edge of the Ashdown Forest, there is a flourishing Church of England elementary school called Bonners (member of the Ashdown Forest Conservation Society). We are proud of the small copse at the end of the playing fields and the rural school grounds. "Embracing Christian ideals, we work in conjunction with all members of our community to create a vibrant and exciting culture of learning; we want to be the best we can be now and in the future." Our school is a member of the "Village Schools Association," which brings together other nearby rural primary schools to participate in sporting activities like math trails and poetry days. Additionally, it gives the students a chance to interact with youngsters who may eventually attend the neighbourhood secondary school. The school has recently undergone improvements, including the construction of an amphitheatre for recreational and educational purposes as well as an Early Years play area with a "bog" area and vegetable patch. We joined forces with Buxted CE Primary School in April 2015 to form the South Ashdown Schools' Federation. This means that in order to assure, we may benefit from the best practises from two schools. You can find general information about our School and our larger Community in the "Welcome" section. Information about preparing your child for school at Bonners can be found under the heading "Prepare Your Child." Under "Community," you can find information about our neighborhood's linked playgroup (Stepping Stones), after-school programmes, the local church, and the parish council. A member of the South Ashdown Schools' Federation is Bonners CE Primary School.
