Recognize how and why opposing historical interpretations have been put together, as well as how rigorously evidence is employed to support historical claims, through understanding the methodologies of historical inquiry. Understanding the connections between local, regional, national, and international history; cultural, economic, military, political, religious, and social history; and between short- and long-term timescales will help students gain historical perspective by putting their growing knowledge into various contexts. We plan our lessons at Bampton CE Primary School to cover the history curriculum's material and help kids become more cognizant of chronology. To make sure that previous talents are completely developed and expanded upon, we use a grid called the Progression of Skills. History lessons are made more engaging through excursions and workshops. The neighbourhood museum service offers a loan programme and holds seminars to encourage kids to investigate artefacts and be history sleuths. Locals in the area assist the kids in their local history studies and provide information on local history through the Bampton Archive.
