From the Backworth Park Primary School
On October 10, 2018, the Duke of Northumberland and the Rt. Hon. Alan Campbell, MP, along with other supporters of our school, officially opened our brand-new, stunning building.
The 'Requires Improvement' judgement made during our last OFSTED visit no longer accurately reflects the situation at this school because of our new build, a substantial portion of our personnel team, and numerous new resources and opportunities.
Our academic year 2017–2018 scores were largely better than average across the board, and in areas where they weren't quite as good, they were comparable to average for all levels of education.
Our staff and governors are working really hard to guarantee that all students receive solid teaching and learning opportunities in all fundamental skills as well as a diverse and balanced curriculum.
Our new structure helps us accomplish this by offering lots of room for indoor and outdoor learning.
The only elementary school in the area with a dance studio is ours.
We all learn our school rules and work towards our "Consistent Good Behaviour" awards each half-term because we place a high value on good behaviour.
Children enjoy going to school every day in order to not miss any instructional time since they are very aware that we attend school in order to prepare us for our futures in the workforce.
We constantly respect parents' opinions on how our school community operates and invite them to participate in all of our events as well as answer to any surveys we send out.
Parents or members of the public are more than welcome to get in touch with us and chat with me, the headteacher, or Ms. ElSaghier, the deputy headteacher, in the office if they have any general inquiries about our school.
Please contact Ms. ElSaghier, our school's SENCO, if you have any questions about special educational needs.
In order to show you our school in action and answer any additional questions you may have regarding our work, we would also be pleased to arrange for a visit from you.
Paper copies of any of the information on our website are free to obtain at the office if you need them.
