With a cap of 60 students per year group, Ashfield is a two-form entry Voluntary Controlled Junior School that serves students between the ages of seven and eleven.
The school was created by voluntary subscription in 1845 for the purpose of educating the residents of Bushey, as determined by the initial trustees, and has no religious ties with any denomination.
With 150 years under its belt, Ashfield has grown.
Our Year 6 students are still using the original 1845 classrooms.
Our eldest kids have a wonderful place in these big, bright classrooms.
Our Hall, which was constructed in the 1970s, is used for gatherings, plays, gymnastics, and indoor sports.
The classrooms for Years 3 and 5 are also located in this area of the building.
A small structure off to the side of the playground houses the Year 4 classrooms.
Ashfield enjoys the benefit of two hard play grounds.
The children's environmental studies are considerably enhanced by the school's pond and meadow area, which is a sanctuary for fascinating species.
