For students between the ages of 4 and 11, Ashcott Primary School is a small, rural, coeducational County Primary School. On the A39 in Central Somerset, between Street and Bridgwater, is Ashcott Village. At the top of the hill, away from the main road and close to wide-open spaces, the school is located. In 1986, the school's current location was inaugurated. The buildings consist of the original building which houses two classrooms, a library, a kitchen/cookery area and a large hall, and the new wing (opened in January 2009) which has two new classrooms, a group room, a new staff room and offices. The school day runs from 8:40 am to 3 pm, with a break for lunch from 12 to 1 pm. The school office sells school uniforms that are kept in stock at the facility.
