From the Abbeywood First School
We are proud of our school and the group of students, teachers, parents, volunteers, and governors that put in a lot of effort to make sure our kids love going to school and learning.
We had previously been a National Support School with a strong track record of good provision, aspiration, and distinctiveness. In May 2018, we were granted "National Teaching School" Status.
Our approach has always been one of collaboration and sharing our best practises with other First and Primary schools as well as with our RSA trust.
Successful schools are given a prominent position in the training and professional development of teachers, support staff, and headteachers by being designated as "National Teaching Schools," and we are thrilled to be a part of influencing the direction of education.
The smooth transition from elementary to middle and middle to high school is made possible by our tight collaboration with the RSA family.
All of the RSA schools that serve students in primary school follow the Primary Curriculum, which is heavily influenced by Abbeywood.
This has been evolving since since it became a National Teaching School.
Visit our website to learn more about us, and while you're there, come check out our special learning environment for yourself. Here, we genuinely listen to the kids and satisfy their needs in settings that they help to design.
