We are a group of people who believe that God may be glorified through Jesus Christ when we worship, make disciples, show love to one another, and give back to the community.
The community's aspirations, enthusiasm, and deeply held convictions are reflected in its core values.
The following 7 core principles provide the context for how activities are started, prioritised, and resourced while also reflecting the passion and aspirations of the Christian community of Whetstone Baptist Church.
We seek to proclaim, teach, and follow God's Word in our Sunday gatherings, small groups, and personal lives because we are firmly rooted in it.
We think it was God's desire for His Church to be a physical representation of the Kingdom on earth.
We aim to encourage, nurture, and challenge one another to continue our apprenticeship with Jesus, regardless of where people are at when they join us—whether they are cynics, tentative believers, or ardent followers of Jesus. We do this by creating a community where people can feel supported as they continue to walk with Him, love Him, and submit to Him.
As a church, we pledge to make a real impact in the lives of those who don't know Jesus by actively encouraging the church family to serve in their communities.
We all participate in ministry together and desire to do our part to strengthen the Body of Christ.
Baptists believe in every-member ministry and that the membership and leaders must work together to discover God's will.
No of a person's age, upbringing, or cultural background, we as followers of Jesus can recognise the divine connection that exists between us because of the Holy Spirit's tie.
We shared and discussed the following ideas during one of our church vision days because we feel they help our community at Whetstone Baptist Church.
