West Street Pre-school

New families that are interested in learning more about our preschool should get in touch with the staff to see what can be set up securely for everyone.
West Street Pre-school has been a registered charity since its founding in 1980 and is run by a volunteer committee.
We received the rating of "Good" pre-school from Ofsted in March 2022.
If a child is eligible for government assistance, we provide free spots to children ages 2, 3, and 4.
But we are able to provide Nursery Education Grant funded places at West Street Pre-school for 3 to 5 year olds as well.
It is essential that children feel cared for; happy and safe; in order for them to develop the confidence to learn.
We provide a staff ratio of 1 adult to 4 children at all times.
In line with government guidelines we follow a structure of learning, development and care for children from birth to five years old.
This is called the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and it enables your child to learn through a range of activities.
We support the welfare, learning and all-round development of children with different backgrounds and levels of ability, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
To support your children throughout their time in our pre-school, meeting all children's individual needs as best we can.
