Upton Village Pre-School

Over 40 years ago, a small group of women established Upton Village Preschool with the goal of assisting their kids in gaining social skills by interacting with other kids. We initially called ourselves Upton U.R.C. Pre-school since we were housed in the Upton U.R.C. church hall on Heath Road and were supported by the church.
Pre-schools were eventually encouraged to register with Ofsted, and we determined that the pre-school would need to take this step in order to keep providing the service to the neighbourhood. The pre-school had to search for new facilities since the church felt they could no longer manage the standards and regulations linked with Ofsted.
The Scouts on Upton Drive graciously provided us with alternate housing and a very warm welcome. Upton Village Pre-school was established when, following some building renovations, the pre-school and Rising Fives relocated into their new location in September 2007.
The pre-school retained its same staff and management, with the exception of a new name and address. The pre-school enjoys a laudable reputation for its considerate approach to the education of young children. Because we have high standards and think that the most significant gift we can give the kids is our time, we make sure that the staff to kid ratio is high.
Because teachers utilise skillful questioning to encourage students to think critically and create their own ideas, instruction is constantly of high quality. Children become passionate, innovative learners as a result. (2014) Ofsted
In an effort to once again guarantee the pre-future, school's we moved to Upton Heath C of E Primary School in January 2013.
