The Young Ones

Since it began operating 43 years ago, The Young Ones has offered play school, after-school programmes, and a holiday club.
The Young Ones facility is made up of a single, 16.5 m × 7.3 m, spacious room that can be easily divided into several areas as needed to accommodate the demands of our kids' play and learning.
This enables us to provide the ideal atmosphere for kids to grow, form new connections, and learn.
We think having a two thirds of an acre play garden makes us special.

The Young Ones manager Jane Bowditch has an NVQ Level 3 and NNEB training, as well as more than 50 years of experience caring for children who are not her own.
Her professional background includes a year spent assisting in the opening of a new nursery school in Canada and even a stint in London working as a nanny for a foreign princess.
We are now caring for the grandchildren of our first intake since Jane founded The Young Ones in Yeovil in 1976.
We have six staff members with NVQ Level 3 and one assistant, and we always welcome students searching for childcare experience.
