The Village Playgroup

The Village Pre-School, located at the Village Hall on Main Street Sicklinghall, was founded in 1981.
At The Village Pre-school, Sicklinghall we work closely with the Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership from which we regularly receive advice, training and support.
by using a specially designed Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum that leads to the early learning goals, to improve the development and education of children who are not yet of compulsory school age.
to provide a community-based, parent-involved atmosphere that is safe, secure, and stimulating.
Give your family the chance to participate directly in the group's activities and your own child's development.
We urge that your kid attend a minimum of two different sessions each week in order to help them calm down quickly.
Since every child is different, as you are aware, every child at preschool has a varied settling-in period.
If your child has a favourite toy, blanket or comforter we welcome you to bring these along to their settling sessions and when they begin pre- school to help ease their transition, and to make them feel secure.
When your kid starts pre-school, a Key Worker will be assigned to them.
Your child's key worker will be responsible for tracking your childs development, and for your childs learning journey, which maps their interests and development throughout their time with us.
