The Pre-School Play Station

We adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at The Pre-school Playstation in Broughton Astley, where we have an Ofsted rating of Good. We are aware of the individuality of each child and support both adult-led and child-led activities. We use Tapestry to manage our educational travels as well. Our planning is centred around a different book each month, such as The Gruffalo, Handa's Surprise, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Each month, we also highlight a different nation, such as Scotland, France, or Spain.
Our staff members are all NVQ Level 3, First Aid, and Safeguarding certified. We also have two people pursuing a BA in early years and five early years graduates.
Additionally, we provide Forest School lessons led by our own Level 3 certified Forest School Leader at no additional cost. We adore the outdoors so much that the location has received the Woodland Trusts' Gold Green Tree Schools Award, and we also serve as a Green School Ambassador. Fosse Meadows, Lutterworth Country Park, and occasionally other neighbourhood parks are frequented by the kids. We also have a garden here on the property. Our playhouse, sand pit, mud kitchen, and gravel pit are all favourites with the kids. We are outside the majority of the time in the summer. Not too far from us, we also take care of and visit our own horses and hens.
We accept funding for 2-year-olds*, 30-hour funding*, and 15-hour funding for 3-year-olds. Our classes are held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
