The Old Bridge Nursery

In 1980, the Old Bridge Nursery was founded. After having my own son, I genuinely wanted to improve the quality of childcare in Durham, so I bought the Old Bridge in 1990. The goal was to engage the best staff members who genuinely loved children and wanted to help us achieve our goal. The vision was to offer excellent daycare to everyone in a home-like environment.
Privately owned nurseries have been and still exist, including The Old Bridge. On the outskirts of Durham City, in a quaint and idyllic hamlet setting, is where we are situated. We operate the company out of a place that, as soon as you step in the door, feels "like home." We have 27 children signed up for each session, ranging in age from newborns to those who are prepared to start school.
In order to build a daycare setting that delivers excellent standards of care and a learning environment to ensure that every child's requirements are met, we are undoubtedly devoted to forming a genuine partnership with our parents. As you can see from reading our most recent OFSTED assessment, which rated us OUTSTANDING in 2016, we have succeeded in doing just that.
I am quite happy of this honour, but it was not achieved without a lot of effort and dedication on the part of my staff, the parents, and the kids. I'd like to thank everyone.
