The Lighthouse Nursery believes that children learn valuable skills through play and this is the foundation on which we base all of the children's experiences. flexible enough to accommodate the children's demands and moods. structured enough to provide the interest and variety which stimulates development. the chance to develop social skills and learn how to make friends. the chance to acquire academic abilities including early reading, writing, and arithmetic as well as a global understanding and creative and athletic skills. hiring compassionate, driven, and either qualified or pursuing a qualification personnel. guaranteeing that the proportion of competent employees is at least 85% (much higher than Ofsted's minimal criteria of 50%). offering a huge variety of tools and activities, both inside and outside. offering seasoned and knowledgeable support for kids with disabilities and special needs. offering freshly prepared, home-cooked meals that are wholesome and delicious.
The daycare centre always makes an effort to work in the best interests of all children, and we fulfil our duties in compliance with the law.
So, if our nursery is concerned about a child's wellbeing (including risk of neglect, physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, or radicalization), we'll try to talk to the parent or caregivers first (unless by doing so it would place the child at increased risk of significant harm or cause undue delay).
The Warwickshire Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub will be contacted if there is still cause for concern because nursery staff is required by law to provide this information (known as MASH).
