The Learning Meadow was founded with a desire for nurturing children through nature, allowing them to explore, create, and learn in our lovely meadow with our animal companions.
This is further enhanced by our forward-thinking staff, who are passionate about empowering kids to problem-solve within the beauty of our natural surroundings, assess risks, and make decisions that empower them to succeed while allowing them to experience and embrace the beautiful environment, forming lasting treasured memories and a lifelong attitude toward learning.
To preserve the enchantment of childhood and provide every kid the chance to realise their full potential in every aspect of their development, we support children's imagination and creativity.
We encourage your kids to learn by doing and playing by extending their learning with open-ended questions.
Strong emphasis is placed on the significance and importance of in-depth interactions with our staff who draw on their familiarity with your children and their own professional judgments in The Early Years Foundation Stage (2021), our statutory guidance.
The Learning Meadow will introduce kids from 2 to 5 years old to a cycle of sustainable initiatives as well as learning via nature.
We will work closely with neighbourhood businesses to get supplies of food items like milk and fruit that the kids will love for snacks.
Bees will be welcomed onto the meadow, and the kids will learn about their significance to the environment.
We will spend 80% of each day outside in all kinds of weather, which will provide us many first-hand experiences of life and growth as well as limitless opportunity for imagination and creativity.
Around the meadow, there are covered, shaded sections like the beach, the library, the dining room, the mud kitchen, and workshop spaces that nevertheless enable air to flow around your kids.
Our purpose-built lodge is where we begin each day with the promise of a hot, wholesome breakfast and protection from the elements thanks to our heating and cooling system.
With our families sharing the lodge for activities like building Christmas wreaths and parent meetings, we hope that parent and caregiver partnerships will become an important part of life at The Learning Meadow.
