The Duckling Nursery

All children and their families are welcome at The Duckling Nursery, which seeks to provide a safe, encouraging, and nurturing atmosphere for learning. Diversity is encouraged and welcomed here. Children between the ages of 2 and 5 can receive sessional or full-day care at The Duckling Nursery. There are twenty-six kids in each session. On the premises of the Writtle Infant School, the nursery is housed in a classroom. We can use the playground, school field, and school hall in addition to our own private, walled garden. Equipment is available for both indoor and outdoor play in a wide range. There are three groups operating under the nursery's main person system: rainbows, suns, and moons. Each group has a leader and a supporter. Key individuals keep an eye on, supervise, and evaluate their kids and design their own group curricula. The staff may decide what the kids are learning and how to improve and extend their learning thanks to these, which are recorded and discussed at weekly meetings. All curricula and activities are made to excite, inspire, and challenge the kids in entertaining, engaging, and exciting ways. The nursery receives government support and is subject to OFSTED inspections (see the most recent report here). The Early Years Foundation Stage, which covers the period from birth to the end of the reception year, is the framework by which we operate.
