The Bridge School

The Future Focus Service is used by The Bridge School to help our students.
Future Focus offers unbiased information, counsel, and direction on future learning and job placement.
They assist with learning and career planning in both the classroom and the workplace by working one on one or in small groups.
All secondary school instructors help students' career development, personal growth, transition to the next level of study, and learning connected to the workforce.
Students get the chance to learn about the workplace and engage in work-related learning activities within the project's emphasis as part of the full phase weekly Business and Enterprise project.
Future Focus has been hired by The Bridge School to work with our students once a week.

When our students go from The Bridge, there are several things to consider.
Together with our students and parents, instructors and Future Focus play an important role in assisting our students in making their future career decisions.
Future Focus meets with parents and students starting in the ninth grade to talk about alternatives for the future.
Along the way from Year 9 to Year 14, Future Focus offers unbiased counsel.
For students in Year 12 through 14 who have complicated health and physical requirements in addition to significant and numerous academic challenges, the school has a small programme.
Future Focus offers guidance and assistance to parents in connecting with adult programmes and future pathway planning.
To create a transition plan that assists students and parents in the next stage of school or the transfer into adult services, Karen from Future Focus will visit with teachers, parents, and students.
She will assist with and coordinate parent and student visits to prospective new settings.
For our students in Year 11 and Year 14, The Bridge has a strong transition plan in place to assist them with attending their chosen new setting.
Throughout the last school year's three terms, transition visits are made.
Staff from the new setting visit the school to get to know the students and work with them to make the transfer process as seamless as possible after the new setting has been chosen.
Throughout any transfer process, The Bridge School adapts its approach to fit each student's specific requirements.
