Welcome to the Ark Association! The Ark Association is a registered charity administered by trustees of The Ark with assistance from parents and carers.
In Oakham, we operate two Ark locations that are both licenced by Ofsted Early Years and compliant with both the 1989 and 2004 amendments to the Children Act. These locations offer care and instruction to children from three months to five years old.
The Ark seeks to offer all children a joyful, secure, and engaging environment where they may play, learn, and develop naturally.
The goal of the Ark Association is to give the kids in its care a safe and secure environment.
Each family is allowed one vote at the annual general meeting of the Ark Association, which is open to parents of children attending either of the Ark Nurseries.
In the Ark, instruction is not the mode of teaching.
In this situation, it could be important to emphasise that all of our practitioners support the Authority's equality principles.
In all curricular areas, every effort is made to give boys and girls equal chances.
Practitioners can better prepare children for the many needs of the school day by liaising with schools and reception classes.
The Ark's staff members promote children's independence, awareness of others' needs, listening skills, comfort in a bustling, huge atmosphere, and social interaction with both children and adults.
Involvement and assessment of young children begin at birth with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
In our environment, children learn and grow via ongoing play activities as well as small-group activities.
Avoid comparing what your child can do to what their peers in their peer group have accomplished.
Practitioners at The Ark appreciate each kid for who they are and what they can do at their stage of development because they recognise that children develop at various speeds.
No matter how great or tiny, every child's accomplishments are celebrated.
Ofsted advises that some time during each nursery session should be spent outside.
It is firmly held that kids learn by playing in expansive, interesting environments.
The outdoor space is thoughtfully planned by practitioners to provide a variety of experiences that are essential for educational growth.
We make sure that each child is getting the most out of their nursery experience by keeping an eye on the kids, ourselves, and the activities, as well as by including the parents.
However, play is significant learning for kids.
Play is actually children's job. Frank Rogers For our pre-school children engaging with local schools and reception classes enables practitioners to ensure that the transition to school goes as smoothly as possible for every child.
We warmly welcome teachers from schools into The Ark to get to see the children in a comfortable environment and will communicate with teachers to ensure they know as much as possible about the children they will teach.
