Sunflower Children's Centre

The Sunflower Children's Center, which opened its doors in 2002, is still one of Sheffield's biggest independent daycare centres.
Built adjacent and learning to the local primary school in Charnock, our Centre is a stimulating and bright earning environment that supports children, some with discreet learning needs, and their families from the local and surrounding areas.
With our highly qualified and growing team of 22 staff, we provide exceptional childcare in a stimulating and fun learning environment and host a range of various clubs and sessions available during and outside of term time including first aid classes for children and parents, Phonics Bear classes, Dinky Stepz dancing, Yoga, and Music and Movement and Little Kickers.
We take great pride in being one of Sheffield's top-performing nurseries.
Our proactive response to the pandemic ensured our setting was able to operate even during the most difficult times in lockdown, that we retained quality staff and made the setting safe.
Although much has changed since March 2020, as a team we have never shown more dedication and commitment to achieving excellence in the Centre.
It is fair to say we have had a culture change where our staff feel more empowered to make decisions about the way they work, embracing new challenges and pulling together as a team.
It has been a difficult time but I could not be prouder of my team, more grateful of the families who continue to send their children to us and of course to the children who continually brighten our day with their smiles, laughter and eagerness to learn.
