Stepping Stones

An independent organisation called Stepping Stones helps children with exceptional needs who are between the ages of one and four. With the Wiltshire Council, we have a contract to offer a District Specialist Center service. We serve Trowbridge, Melksham, Westbury, Warminster, Bradford on Avon, and other neighbouring villages in the West Wiltshire area. Our main goal is to assist kids who exhibit delayed development in getting the support and therapy they need to advance.
Parents can self-refer their children, but typically children are sent to us by a paediatrician, health visitor, or other professional. All of the children assisted by Stepping Stones have developmental delays and struggle to learn skills that other kids take for granted. Some of the children may have a diagnosed condition.
Our highly skilled team evaluates the children who come to Stepping Stones and assists and encourages them to learn through play. Additionally, they get the chance to network with medical specialists like physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech and language therapists. These therapists collaborate with our team to create a strategy that is tailored to the unique requirements of each child.
Stepping Stones hosts paediatric clinics so that families and kids can be seen in a comfortable setting.
