The Staffordshire University Legal Advice Clinic (SULAC) offers free legal counsel to the neighbourhood and to certain target groups.
Additionally, SULAC offers Staffordshire University law students significant hands-on experience.
SULAC seeks to benefit the neighbourhood by facilitating access to justice in areas of the law where it is not already available.
SULAC seeks to strike a balance between that service and the clinical legal education it offers to University students, preparing them for careers in law or business.
Access to justice is declining as a result of the huge drop in legal assistance.
Many people encounter circumstances when they require legal counsel but are unable to obtain it.
SULAC-like clinics are crucial to closing the gap.
Additionally, we are unable to tell you if Staffordshire University, its personnel, or its students may be subject to a claim in your situation.
Although you may walk in for an appointment at one of our clinics, we can't promise you'll be seen because it's a popular service.
Two law students will interview you during the meeting, and a supervisor will be there as well.

After initiating an inquiry, if SULAC does not respond within three working days, you should seek out other sources of guidance.
As a client of SULAC you will be expected to sign an Information for Clients form which sets out, in detail, the service that you can expect from SULAC and other important points.
At the beginning of your meeting with the student advisers, you will be requested to sign a copy of the form.
