I feel incredibly privileged and immensely happy to be the headteacher of St. Thomas's Center. This is a fantastic school where amazing things take place. We are the Blackburn with Darwen Local Authority's pupil referral unit. Up to 161 children between the ages of 5 and 16 are educated at St. Thomas's either full- or part-time. St. Thomas's helps with students who have or are having problems fitting in with the general population because of their behavioural, social, emotional, or medical requirements. Additionally, St. Thomas's offers young moms and pregnant schoolgirls help. We firmly think that every one of our students deserves the greatest education possible, offered by a team of highly committed, knowledgeable, and certified teachers using a customised curriculum. All BwD youth are supported by St. Thomas' Center. St. Thomas's is accessible through the Blackburn with Darwen Local Authority, local secondary schools, academies, and free schools. St. Thomas's also accepts referrals from schools outside of Blackburn with Darwen for students who are having trouble and are enrolled there. The most recent OFSTED inspection, which recognised that St. Thomas's was Outstanding in all four categories of the OFSTED Framework, makes everyone at the school extremely proud. Please get in touch with our school office to set up a visit if you'd like to learn more about what we do at St. Thomas's.
