St George preschool CIO is based at Netham House in Redfield, Bristol.
We offer a child centred approach to learning and the children's needs are at the centre of everything we do.
We provide term time only care for children aged 2 to 4.
Netham house provides two large indoor classrooms each with their own independently accessed garden.
Our ultimate goal is to enable the children to have fun, explore and have the freedom to express their individuality, while forming the basis of their education.
We do not plan ahead, rather we remain 'in the moment' with the children as they explore and learn.
We observe carefully, and enhance the learning whenever we spot a 'teachable moment'.
All our resources are available for children to access, they are labelled and have a shadowed home to be returned to.
This encourages children's independence and confidence, promoting a 'can do' attitude.
Our priority is to provide a friendly, safe environment where the children learn through play and experiences.
Each child in our care is assigned a "Key Person".
This person will ensure the individual needs of your child are met.
Your child's key person will help you and your child become familiar with the provision and to feel confident and safe, creating a genuine bond between your child, yourself and the preschool.
At St. George Preschool we recognise parents as the first and most important educators of their children.
With this in mind, parental involvement is considered to be an essential part of our preschool it is both valued and welcomed.
