Squirrels Pre-School CIO

Children between the ages of 2 and 4 can study and develop at the Squirrels Preschool. We are housed in a contemporary structure with a sizable garden in the St Stephens neighbourhood of Canterbury.
There are areas for creative play, dressing up, books, and a cosy spot in the roomy playroom. The tables in the room's centre are used for scheduled activities and snack/lunch times throughout the day. A sizable covered outdoor play area with concrete floors is available, making it ideal for using tricycles and for using chalk to sketch on the ground. To burn off energy, there is a sizable climbing structure with slides, a playhouse, as well as a sizable grassy area. Daily learning-through-play activities are set up, making use of items like the water tray, sand tray, and garden's natural slope.
Our charity is managed by a group of 3 trustees and 7 employees. We have six skilled and experienced Early Years Practitioners who collaborate with parents to support the learning and development of their children. The majority of children enrol in the Squirrels Preschool in September, while a lesser number may do so throughout the year if spaces open up. The preschool is only open during school hours.
