The school has a deep-seated commitment to democracy.
Rewards and punishments are used under our school's Resorative Practice Behaviour Policy, which is communicated with everyone involved in school life as well as with parents, guardians, and students in Reception through Year 6.
Students are instructed on the importance of laws, their justifications, how they regulate and safeguard us, the duties associated with this, and the repercussions of breaking the law.
With the knowledge that they are in a secure and encouraging atmosphere at school, students are actively encouraged to make decisions.
As a school, we teach and set limits so that every student may make decisions securely. To do this, we provide a secure environment and take an empowering pedagogical approach.
Pupils are encouraged to know, understand and exercise their rights and personal freedoms and are advised how to exercise these safely, for example through our E-Safety and PSHE lessons.
Our school's Restorative Practice Behaviour Policy emphasises fundamental values like respect since it is a school that places values at the centre of its ethos.
One of the qualities we clearly teach in our lessons and communal worship is respect.
To improve instruction in classes and throughout the school, people of all faiths are urged to share their knowledge.
