By fostering a setting where kids learn through play and staff members carefully nurture and extend their interests along with a flexible and suitable curriculum, our playgroup hopes to assist in meeting the needs of pre-school kids.
We accept kids as young as two, and each session can have up to 26 kids under the expert supervision of our qualified personnel.
Role play, a reading area, mark-making materials, materials for painting and other forms of creative expression are just a few of the areas of continuous provision that are available in the big, open space to promote children's learning and development.
Practitioners utilise the Birth to Five Non Statutory advice to support planning to ensure coverage of the learning areas within the EYFS framework. Planned activities should extend children's learning and interests.
We are lucky to be close to a Wildlife Meadow and Woodland, which the kids adore exploring and is home to blue bells in the spring, butterflies, and ladybugs in the summer.
The lessons are informally planned so that times can be altered if kids become extremely engaged in a theme or unplanned activity.
Typically, the initial portion of the programme, which includes storytelling, singing, a snack, and small group activities, takes place indoors.
The children do spend the majority of their time outside during the summer months in nicer weather, and many of the above-mentioned activities also take place in our sizable garden area.
With musical instruments, fairy lights, cushions, and sensory things, our outside space, which we call Sparkle Space, is utilised all year long for chilling out, small-group music and singing sessions, as well as providing a cosy nook for kids who might not yet be walking on their own.
Take care of the playgroup so that everyone can enjoy and feel secure there.
