Community school Long Lane Primary was established in 1966 and is currently administered by West Berkshire Council.

Sadly, Mr. Thorne, who has served as our headmaster for more than 10 years and has been at Long Lane for more than 20 years, left us today.
Today, we had a special assembly to honour his time at Long Lane and to wish him luck in his future endeavours.
Thank you very much for all your help this year. Because of your kindness, we were able to help the school fund some wonderful projects for the kids.
We'd like to share that on June 25th, we raised an amazing $4,277 for Summer Fest.
We've added up all the money that's been raised this year, and we think you'll agree that the totals are astounding: $25,500. We can't wait to see how this money can be used to fund even more exciting projects next year.
