The DfE underlined the necessity of establishing and enforcing a strict and explicit obligation on all schools to promote the core British principles of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and respect for people of all religions and beliefs.
British values were defined by the government in the Prevent Strategy of 2011, and they were reaffirmed in 2014.
At Falkland Primary School, we give students the chance to learn about their own culture as well as the many different cultural influences that have influenced modern Britain.
We teach all kids to have tolerance for and respect for people who practise other faiths and ideologies.
This is accomplished by teaching the kids about the major holidays and important dates in British culture.

The rights associated with their class agreement are determined by the kids each year.
Year 6 students are surveyed annually by the governors about their opinions of the school.
At Falkland Primary, students are constantly reminded of the value of laws, whether they are those that regulate the class, the school, or the nation.
School regulations are taught to students beginning at a young age.
Students are taught the importance of laws and rules, why they control and protect us, what it means to follow the law, and what happens when it is broken.
With the knowledge that they are in a secure and encouraging environment, Falkland Primary students are actively encouraged to make decisions.
