Scallywags Day Nursery

Scallywags Day nursery is a long established nursery serving Oakham and surrounding towns and villages and is close to the railway and bus stations and within easy walking distance of the town centre.
It accommodates up to 93 children ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years of age.
The nursery years should be a happy and rewarding experience for every family.
Parents are always welcome in the Nursery and we work closely with you to ensure the fullest understanding of your child.
The Nursery Nurses are professionals in their area, dedicated and committed to the best care for the children.
We feel that grouping the under fives is important and vital for their development, with the ages of the children in the groups based on a childs ability and development.
We work closely with each individual child to ensure a happy journey through the nursery.
Every child has a Key carer, an Early Years Practitioner assigned to them to work with you to follow your childs development and progress.
Each group has a Room Leader/Senior practitioner who has overall responsibility for their team, and is also available to talk to about your child.
Formula milk feeds for babies are provided by the nursery.
Children are offered free play and structured play, together with a learning environment that is tailored to the individual needs of the child.
A wide variety of equipment and activities are offered within the nursery allowing your child to develop.
As your child progresses through the nursery, their day will become more structured as we help them to take their first steps into the world of learning and education.
Your Key Carer will work with and support your child through the curriculum, keeping you informed of their progress and development.
