Sandhurst Nursery School

We are a welcoming, long-running nursery school located in Sandhurst's centre, on the grounds of Sandhurst Primary School.

Our aim is to provide children with a safe and happy environment where they can learn many skills, incorporating the 7 areas of development for children aged 0-5 years covered by the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
We are a registered charity, and our voluntary board of trustees—typically parents or other concerned community members—runs and oversees the Nursery School's operations.
We provide a safe and secure setting for all children in a modern building with hours to suit all needs of parents, carers and children.

I have just over 30 years of experience working in the early years sector, and in 2010, I passed the exam required to earn an Early Years Foundation Degree.
I first started at Sandhurst Nursery School in 2003 and after taking 18 months to explore other childcare settings and environments in 2011, I returned in September 2012 as the Human Resources and Development Officer.
Charles became a parent at the nursery in 2006, and he quickly became heavily involved in its management as a volunteer committee member.
Charles presided over the group as it finally evolved into a board of trustees.
Charles has remained as Chairperson of the Trustee Management Team since that date and tirelessly gives up his time on a voluntary basis to support, encourage and advise everyone involved in the running of the nursery.
