Borde Hill's Rose Cottage Day Nursery, which opened its doors in November 2015, is located on the grounds of a lovely rural setting.
The nursery is registered for 52 children and caters for children from from 6 months to 5 years and welcomes children with special educational needs.
With easy access to Brighton, Haywards Heath, Horsham, and other nearby destinations, Rose Cottage Day Nursery is in a handy location.
At Rose Cottage Day Nursery our rooms are bright and colourful and each room contains a good range of toys and equipment to keep your child entertained and stimulated throughout their time with us.
During the initial stages of nursery life we shall endeavour to follow the routine set by each individual allowing them to feed, rest and play when they require.
This is complemented by a key person system, which sees to it that each person's needs are addressed.
Children in these rooms are generally becoming more mobile and inquisitive.
Our Toddler Room provides a more structured day with a much greater choice of learning opportunities including arts and crafts, construction activities, table top games and much more.
The Early Years Foundation Stage is followed by the toddlers.
The Mossy Riverbank room caters for children aged between 2 3 years and children are planned for individually following observations which will reveal childrens interests and schemas.
This group are based in a cosy room, which is full of activities that are designed to encourage social and learning skills, as well as starting to build independence.
The Pre-School room caters for varied children between the ages of 3-5, and in this room the aim is to prepare the child for a successful transition into full-time education.
We pride ourselves on ensuring that when children leave nursery to move on to school, they do so confidently and independently, whilst taking with them the enjoyment of learning and a pride in their achievements.
We strive for your child to be able to have the following skills when leaving the nursery: recognising and writing their own name, demonstrating good observational skills, showing preliminary reading skills, good pencil control, showing creative skills and knowledge of numbers.
