Red Balloon Pre-School Group

In a classroom at Tweedmouth West First School, the Red Balloon Pre-School Group began operations in January 1994 with eight students and two staff members.
In September 1998 the group moved into Tweedmouth Church Hall due to the popularity of the school and the need of our classroom.
While at the Church Hall, the staff and committee started a massive fundraising drive to buy a portable classroom that would be placed in the schoolyard.
Thanks to fundraising events, donations from local businesses and a lottery grant we moved into our brand new classroom in November 1999, where we are today.
The Red Balloon has been lucky over the years to have a dedicated committee of parents who alongside staff work together to ensure the Pre-School continues to grow and move forward.
We work hard to create an exciting stimulating environment for the children to learn and develop following the Reviewed (September 2021) Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
I am qualified at level 3 in Pre-School Practice.
As Deputy Leader, my role is to support Jackie in the running of Red Balloon.
I hold a level 3 in Pre-School Practice and I am currently studying for my Foundation Degree in Childrens Workforce.
I love working with children and enjoy helping the children have fun, develop and learn in a safe secure environment.
Working at Red Balloon means so much to me and I love to see the children play and learn to help prepare them for school life.
I have worked at Red Balloon for over 15 years and hold a level 3 Diploma for Children & Young Peoples Workforce.
