From the School
Portland College is a thriving institution of higher learning open to students with a variety of disabilities. Further Education, Employment Support, and Personal Care are all offered at Portland College. We work to use a specialised programme to unlock every learner's untapped potential. Such a curriculum may incorporate work experience and volunteer work for students at the Portland College campus in Sherwood Forest. The personal curriculum is underpinned by a broad range of accredited qualifications in independence, literacy, numeracy, sport, arts, business studies, computing, small animal care and horticulture. For students with more complicated requirements, we provide a specialised sensory curriculum. Additionally, Portland College is committed to collaborating with employers to support the creation of a more inclusive hiring process and approach to workforce development. The same high standards of support and programme personalization will be provided to those people who we support at work or in other settings.
