Poppleton School's Out Club (PopSoc)

PopSoc is a 50-seat after-school programme that cares for kids between the ages of 4 and 11 all year round. We were founded and have been in operation since 1999 thanks to a volunteer parental committee.
Our priority is to offer opportunities for free play centred around activities in a welcoming setting. We host a variety of programmes every day and have a large assortment of both indoor and outdoor equipment.
Activities that are common include sports, games, music, and drama.
All of our playworkers are certified in first aid, health and safety, child protection, British values, Fgm, behaviour management, and food hygiene because Popsoc is dedicated to providing high quality care. Our Staff is encouraged to evaluate their work, take efforts to make it better, and attend refresher training.
We encourage all of our employees to pursue Play job-specific certifications. Four members of our team currently hold Level 3 childcare qualifications, three staff members are pursuing their Level 3 in childcare, and one employee currently holds a Level 5 in early years leadership and management. The manager has an early childhood studies BA with honours.
