Poplars Nursery

All ages may access the outdoors thanks to our sizable outdoor space.
Each age group has direct access to their own decked area, as well as to a large, naturally landscaped area that is primarily used by our older children, a secure, flat area with a lawn that is perfect for our younger children, and a large enclosed safety surface area that can be used for bikes, trikes, and scooters as well as activities like ball skills, movement, and dance, among others.

In light of this, kids at Poplars have access to a wide range of experiences and activities that are age-appropriate.
We recognise the value of information sharing for the benefit of the kid and the need to facilitate any transitions between settings as smoothly as feasible.
Each summer term, we welcome visits from reception school teachers, and our EYP maintains contact to make sure that children's transitions to school are smooth.
We use a curriculum that is kid-led with an appropriate amount of adult-led activities.
In order to maximise all children's learning results, our nursery manager also possesses Early Years Professional Status, which guarantees that staff development is ongoing, reflective, and supported by cutting-edge initiatives and techniques.
A named member of staff with specific duties for your kid is known as the nursery key person.
The personnel in your child's room will occasionally interact with every child, but they are the main contact for just a limited number of kids.
This enables the key person to really get to know the youngster by tuning into the child's activities and talks.
This unique connection also enables professionals to spot any circumstances in which a youngster could require further support.
At Poplars, we value parental involvement highly and understand the necessity of open, polite, and transparent communication.
All parents can also view their child's learning journey, which is created via a digital application.
This gives you a current report on your child's education, growth, and hobbies. It's also a great opportunity to see what amazing and interesting activities your child has engaged in.
As we reply to your comments, recommendations, and information and as you use the learning journey as a platform to extend learning within the house, the two-way communication between us as a setting and you as a parent is vital and improves the entire learning experience.
Additionally, we are now testing a new digital platform that gives parents access to a calendar, a daily journal for the younger kids, continuous real-time access to invoices, and account balance information.
