Poplar Pre-School (CIO)

Poplar Pre-School (CIO) is a pre-school that is run by Trustees as a charity. Prior to becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organization (CIO) in November 2015, Poplar Pre-School operated as an unincorporated business under the name Poplar Pre-School. (Poplar Pre-School (CIO) will be referred to as Poplar Pre-School on this page.)
The current Trustees are Teresa Hatfull, Denise Ellis, Jenny Dharmalingam, Ling Yip, Lynne Davies, and they are all DBS (Data Barring Service)-checked (pictures are shown inside the Pre-School).
The pre-overall school's direction and efficient operation fall within the purview of the Trustees. The agenda changes from meeting to meeting, but typical topics include the budget, hiring and managing staff, fundraising, property management, development and commitment to our business plan, and policies and procedures. They aim to meet formally every two months (but also meet ad hoc as needs arise). Of course, this also affords the chance to discuss suggestions for enhancing any part of the preschool.
