On the sunny southern slope of Bredon Hill, close to the charming villages of Overbury and Conderton, is where you'll find Overbury Enterprises. The Holland-Martin family has owned the estate for approximately 300 years. Overbury and Conderton are small towns with a long history. The linkage of the Grasshopper logo, which is intimately connected to the Holland-Martin family, is particularly pertinent to the nursery.
The history of the Grasshoppers' connection to banking begins in the 1540s, when Sir Thomas Gresham, known as the "Father of British Banking" (1519–1579), got involved in financing commerce and setting up financing for the monarchs of the day, including Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I.
