From the Osborne School
I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all of our new students and parents as we begin a new academic year. I sincerely hope you enjoyed your summer and are prepared for this new, exciting year. Over the summer break, a number of changes to the school environment were made, and I'm sure your kids have informed you about them. We have hung numerous new pictures around the school to show the effort your kids put forth while attending Osborne. When you come, I sincerely hope you enjoy them. The former Light and Sound room has been renovated, and a new Sensory Room has been installed in Osborne College in order to improve the sports offerings. A new Multi-use Games Area has also been installed on the field. On Monday, October 9, 2017, at our Open Evening and Future Events, you will be able to view every one of these sections in operation. The summer results for this year were quite pleasing, with all Year 11 students and several Osborne College students earning the accreditation they were vying for. The academic year has started off nicely, and I am happy to note that all of the students have adjusted really well. They have effectively and promptly gotten to work, adopting the schedule and curriculum that have been provided. Please keep an eye on the school's website, www.osborneschoolwinchester.com, for the most recent information and upcoming plans. Wishing you a successful year and don't hesitate to get in touch with the school whenever you have anything to talk about. All year long, I look forward to seeing you all.
