A set of fundamental principles that we truly believe in and hold in high regard form the foundation of the Orchard ethos.
Because of passion, Orchard School was founded and is still successful today.
It is crucial that all interactions and communications with kids at this formative stage of their development be conducted in the most appropriate way possible.
At Orchard, we've worked hard to create a caring environment where every child is treated with care and concern and encouraged to explore and learn about their surroundings on a regular basis.
The participation idea is one of Orchard's main tenets.
The experiences a child has while attending school go well beyond the typical teachings taught in the classroom and also include a variety of extracurricular activities and the hidden curriculum.
We have made sure that similar attention to detail and care have been applied to the development of other areas throughout the school environment when improvements have been made to the facility, such as the development of roomy new classrooms with plenty of natural light. Examples include the creation of numerous, diverse, and distinct outdoor zones, such as the treehouse, activity trail, and camouflage den, all of which are intended to positively benefit the kids in different ways.
We take great pride in the fact that our students leave Orchard not only with a solid academic foundation but also with a comprehensive awareness of social conventions, politeness, and social interaction skills.
In terms of child development and education, The Orchard School has a strong respect for tradition and the past.
We do, however, welcome innovation when it complements, enhances, or improves current practises and procedures since we are open to change and progress.
We do, however, take the time to examine changes in the educational landscape, evaluating each innovation or fresh perspective on its own merits and implementing such into the Orchard way of life when they blatantly provide considerable value and improvement.
The introduction of our bank of Chromebooks to the school and the use of remote learning are two instances of Orchard adopting current technology to improve the conventional educational experience.
Everyone is treated equally and fairly at Orchard School, and the kids are taught this as a fundamental value.
We firmly adhere to the principle of equality and make sure that all decisions, actions, and interactions are undertaken with it very much at the forefront of our minds, even though one of the key components of the Orchard ethos is the discovery of a child's unique personality and the tailoring of their education to support and enhance that.
