Our goal is to offer high-quality childcare in a joyful, secure, and stimulating setting. We provide a child-centered methodology that fosters children's originality, creativity, and self-confidence in a safe environment. We want to promote play-based learning and offer a range of possibilities to assist each child's unique learning.
We strive to create a "home away from home" atmosphere because we think children need to feel secure. We work hard to make sure that every child feels secure, at ease, and happy. We value parent involvement and actively encourage it through newsletters, open nights, portfolio sharing, and activities that are sent home with each class on a regular basis.
The Early Years Foundation Stage, a curriculum that establishes the requirements for child care, education, and development, guides our work at Orchard Nursery School. It respects infants and young children and acknowledges their individuality and accomplishments. Every child has a personal file (learning story) that we keep track of their work, comments, and accomplishments in relation to the curriculum. This enables professionals to organise experiences and activities that will aid in the learning and growth of the kids.
A Key Persons system is in use throughout the nursery. This indicates that each child has a key person, usually one of their instructors, who is responsible for keeping notes about the child and who is intimately familiar with him or her. The best person to contact if you have any concerns about your child's development is their key person.
According to EYFS 2008, a Key Person has specific duties that include working with a small group of children, ensuring that they feel safe and cared for, and developing relationships with their parents.
